The percentages of various categories of candidates to be shortlisted are: 10% for GEN-EWS, 27% for OBC-NCL, 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, and the remaining 40.5% is OPEN for all.
The process to apply for JEE Advanced include logging in using JEE Main application number and password, filling out the registration form, uploading scanned documents, paying the online application fee, and lastly downloading and printing the registration receipt.
The JEE (Advanced) 2025 syllabus will be the same as last year's, covering Physics, Chemistry, and Biology based on Classes 11 and 12 syllabus.

To appear in the JEE (Advanced) 2025 exam, the JEE (Advanced) admit card is a mandatory document that must be carried to the exam center. Therefore, candidates should download a color print-out of the same. It is advisable to download two copies, as one copy must be submitted at the exam center.
You need to carry the following items before leaving for the examination centre: 1. JEE Advanced admit card 2025 along with self-declaration. 2. A simple transparent ballpoint pen. 3. Additional Photographs to be pasted on the attendance sheet. 4. Personal hand sanitizer. 5. Personal transparent water bottle.
Electronics/Gadgets: Any metallic item or electronic gadgets/ devices will not be allowed in the exam hall. This includes Mobile Phone, Ear Phone, Microphone, Pager, Calculator, DocuPen, Slide Rules, Log Tables, Camera, Tape Recorder etc.
The JEE Advanced Exam will be held Once a year, with two Shifts: Morning (9:00 A.m. to 12:00 P.m.) and Evening (2:30 P.m. to 5:30 P.m.). JEE Advanced Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be administered in these two shifts.

To download the JEE(Advanced) 2025 result cum scorecard, candidates can visit the official website and use their login ID and password. The scorecard will include the candidate's raw scores (sectional and overall) and percentiles (sectional and overall). Candidates can download the PDF of the scorecard by clicking on the download option under the scorecard section.
The JEE Advanced 2025 Result for the January session will be made public in February. The All India Rank (AIR) will be considered for admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs, CFTIs, SFTIs, and other institutions.
