Eligibility Criteria

Applicants with a minimum of 60% marks in the 10th & 12th examinations for the general category and a minimum of 55% marks for the Other Categories are eligible to apply for the IPMAT examination.

Registration Process

To apply for the IPMAT examination : Register Online and fill out the application form on the official website of IPMAT i.e. iimindore.ac.in Choose the IPMAT exam centre and provide the necessary documents such as a Valid Email ID Scanned copy of mark sheet of Class 10 and Class 12 Scanned image of a photograph A scanned image of the signature and a Credit Card/Debit Card (ATM Card) or Net Banking details Valid ID proof such as an Adhar Card, Voter ID, Driver's License, Passport or PAN Card Pay the application fee of Rs 4130/- for the General Category & Rs 2065/- for the SC/ST Category. Syllabus

The syllabus of IPMAT 2025 has two major sections, Quantitative Ability & Verbal Ability. There are 100 questions out of which 50 questions are from Quantitative Aptitude, 25 questions are short answer type questions 25 questions are Multiple Choice Questions, and 50 questions are from Verbal Ability. Each question carries 4 marks and each wrong answer gives -1 negative marking.

Exam Pattern

The exam will consist of 100 questions; each mark carries 4 marks, and there will be a negative marking of 1 mark for every wrong answer.

Admit Card

The admit card of IPMAT is an important document to get access to the Examination centre. It mentions the Name, Roll number, examination venue and timings of the exams for the candidate. The admit cards are available on the official website of the IPMAT and can be downloaded by logging in using the user ID and Password.

Exam Day Guidelines

Don’t forget to check your slot timings and exam centre location 2-3 days before the exam. Bring your Admit card, original photo ID proof and passport-size photos. Do not bring any electronic items or exam hall-prohibited items. Try to reach 15 minutes before the reporting time.

Exam Hall Prohibited Items

Any technical/electronic items such as earphones/headphones, Watches, Mobile phones, Calculators, Electronic gadgets, Bags and wallets, Stationery items and any Jewellery are prohibited in the exam hall of the IPMAT examination.

Exam Timing

The IPMAT examination is held once a year. The IPMAT exam is of 120 minutes whereas 40 minutes are for each 3 sections.

Answer Key

The answer key of the IPMAT examination is generally released a few days after the examination on the official website of the IPMAT. The answer key is released for the candidates to check their performance in the examination and calculate tentative scores.

Result and Scorecard

The result of IPMAT is announced on the official website of IPMAT. Candidates can download IPMAT results by visiting the official website of the IPMAT examination and logging in using their registered Email ID, Password and DOB. The result will appear and candidates can download the soft copy of their results, and also take a printout of the hard copy.

Exam Score

The total mark of the IPMAT exam is 400 whereas the verbal ability section consists of 200 marks Quantitative Ability consists of 200 marks. The exam score between the range of 230 to 260 is considered a decent exam score. However, the exam scores from 128 to 136 is also commendable and acceptable.
