Application Process

For admission to undergraduate (UG) programs, candidates must have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. For admission to postgraduate (PG) programs, candidates must have passed a bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.
Admission to VIT Chennai is based on the VIT Engineering Entrance Exam (VITEEE), which is conducted by the university itself. Candidates can also apply for admission through direct admission (DA) quota, which is based on merit in Class 12 or equivalent examination.
